Come check out this workshop to learn more about what it takes to become a competitive applicant for the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dentistry. Dr. Edmond Hewlett, DDS, Associate Dean of Outreach and Diversity and Professor in the Division of Restorative Dentistry, will be presenting information on the curriculum, what UCLA looks for in its prospective students, and what life is like as a dental student in sunny southern California. This is a great way to learn about UCLA and what it has to offer you—and what better way to learn about this than from a faculty member!

Why: Relay for Life is this Saturday, April 13! Join PDS's team here. Relay for Life is a 24-hour event, but if you'd like to participate without staying the whole time, we will have a sign-in/sign-out sheet for all members who participate for a minimum of 2 hours. The event is open to everyone from 10AM - 10PM, so please join us anytime between then! For members who are applying for a stole this quarter, participation in Relay for Life (for at least 2 hours) will fulfill the community service point requirement. Why: Teach kids aged 3 - 5 about dental health! Provide screenings and fluoride varnishes on about 140 little smiles. Contact Michelle Fernandes for the application and info pack. You must also provide a copy of immunization which shows MMR, Hep B vaccine, and you must have had a TB skin test within the last 6 months.
