President Hello PDS! A little bit about me: I am currently an undeclared second year student, soon to be third year biological science (NPB emphasis) major. Last year, I played for the UCD Roller Hockey team and was a member of the UCD University Chorus. This year, when I am not studying, I enjoy riding my road bike or cruising up north to ride my mountain bike in the mountains of Shasta County. Dentistry is appealing to me because it is so dynamic. There are not many other careers that incorporate owning and managing a business while getting to create beautiful artwork all day! DANA CHO Fundraiser Hello Everyone! My name is Dana and I'm a second year pre-dental student from the Bay Area, aspiring to one day fulfill my dream of becoming a dentist. I fell in love with dentistry while in the process of having braces; I loved the dental clinic environment partly because the doctors and staff seem to be having fun, while doing their jobs. I currently intern at Twin Pines Dental with Dr. Menicou and his staff, and am loving it! My goal in this club is to provide members with as much information and opportunities as possible in reaching their goals in becoming competitive dental applicants. |

Anne Estaniel Webmaster Hey everyone! Here's a little bit of information about me. I'm a fourth year Anthropology major who loves adventure and the outdoors. At least once every year I do something adventurous such as river rafting, hot air ballooning, sky diving, and the likes. I decided to pursue dentistry because it is an exciting field where you can help people and build lasting relationships with your patients. I hope you're finding the website helpful and useful. Tam Ngo Activities Coordinator Hello fellow Pre-Denters! My name is Tam am a third year BioSci Major. After being in this club for 2 years, I am excited to finally be a part of the team. I have been interested in pediatric dentistry since the 9th grade. I have a passion for kids and for teeth, so there's really no other way to go =D. Like many others, I will be studying for the DAT's and striving to get my applications in on time this summer, so please feel free to ask me any questions, anytime. I have a fair amount of experience in dentistry and I would love to share with you my knowledge and passion for this field. Laleh Sotoodeh Publicity Hey guys, my name is Laleh Sotoodeh, I'm a third year bio sci major with an NPB emphasis. I decided I wanted to become a dentist last summer when I helped a friend out at his dental office and I fell in love with the whole idea of dentistry. I mean c'mon, it doesn't get any better than taking people's pain away, working with people you enjoy (because you hired them), and being financially secure for the rest of your life. I recommend everyone that is considering becoming a dentist to come to a Pre-Dental Society meeting so we can familiarize you with information about dental schools, application process, the DAT's, internship/volunteer opporunities, and about the profession as a whole. I hope all you predents out there utilize the resources that this organization provides. Trust me, you won't regret it. =) |
